Mr. Prashanth Nayak is the Managing Director of Yazaki India Private Limited, bringing with him a rich legacy of leadership, strategic insight, and global experience.

His professional journey began in 1995 when he joined the Tata Group as a TAS Officer. As a founding member of Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (TACO), he played a critical role in shaping the company’s growth from 1995 to 2009. During this time, he held key leadership positions in Corporate Planning and Human Resources, and was instrumental in establishing 17 joint ventures between 1995 and 2005, laying the foundation for several successful collaborations in the automotive sector.

From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Nayak led Tata Yazaki AutoComp as its Chief Executive Officer, driving operational excellence and strategic expansion.

Following this, he ran his own consulting firm from 2009 to 2013, helping global companies establish operations in India and Brazil, further deepening his international exposure and entrepreneurial experience.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Nayak is a respected voice in the Indian automotive ecosystem. He currently serves as President of the Honda Cars Supplier Club, Vice-President of the Toyota Kirloskar Supplier Association, and as a Supplier Council member for Tata Motors, contributing to both the Passenger Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle divisions.

Mr. Nayak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Karnataka and an MBA from IIM Calcutta, blending technical expertise with strategic business insight.
